Degree projects - Nuclear astrophysics and reactions

We can normally offer diploma projects within each of the three subtopics discussed under the nuclear astrophysics and reactions page.

Diploma  projects related to experiments at ISOLDE

ISOLDE diploma projects are currently focused on data analysis, simulations and machine development. Students within these projects often get the opportunity to spend time, in some cases also the complete project with a local supervisor, at CERN .

Diploma projects related to experiments at R3B

The R3B projects also offer possibilities to work with data analysis and simulations, but in addition there are possibilities to participate in detector development work. Also in this case visits to FAIR and participation in our work there can be part of the project.

Projects related to ESS

These projects mostly focus on simulations related to the physics program and to investigations of the physics reach of these experiments, but we are also interested in investigating the production of medical or industrial isotopes at ESS. We often offer these projects in collaboration with supervisors at ESS.

If you want to discuss more and see if we have a project that is interesting for you please contact anyone of us via the links on the right hand side of the page.
