Research
My research has largely focused on the strong force, Quantum ChromoDynamics, QCD. Especially, I have been concerned with treating the full SU(3) color structure associated with QCD, both in a resummation and in a parton shower context. In particular I have developed orthogonal, group theory based, bases for the color space. This research has also resulted in one Mathematica package, ColorMath, and one C++ package, ColorFull, for algebraic color summed calculations in QCD.
More recently I have explored the spacetime structure of scattering amplitudes and developed a formalism, the chirality-flow formalism, for straightforward calculation of Feynman diagrams.
Teaching
I teach Classical Mechanics and Special Relativity, FYTB14, during the first half of the fall semester.
During the second half of the fall semester I teach the first half of the Theoretical Particle Physics course, see FYTN18.
During the spring semester (odd years) I teach the continuous part of the Symmetries and Group Theory course, FYTN13.
