Summary, in English

A radiation detection system combining a single-sided silicon strip detector (SSSD) and a high-purity germanium (HPGe) COMPEX detector module together with its anti-Compton shield (ACS) was set up at Lund University for environmental sample measurements. This system enables high sensitivity ––-coincidence analysis, enhancing the identification level of radionuclides in environmental samples. A comprehensive multi-coincidence data acquisition system was implemented for optimal signal readout. The proof of principle is demonstrated using a real environmental filter sample containing traces of radionuclides from the 232Th natural decay chain.
